Fantastic flapjacks
Ingredients
- 175g butter
- 250g porridge oats
- 125g soft brown sugar
- 55g yellow treacle
- 50g mixed fruits and nuts
Method
- Place the butter, treacle and sugar into a saucepan.
- Heat to a low temperature for 2-3 minutes and stir until melted.
- Add the oats and mix well.
- Pour the mixture into a baking tin and press down using a spatula.
- Bake for 25 minutes until golden but soft.
- Remove from the oven and leave for 10 minutes to cool slightly.
- Cut into squares and leave to cool in the tin.
- Store them in an airtight box.
