Banana bread with chocolate
Ingredients
- 150g baking flour
- ½ teaspoon of bicarb powder.
- a pinch of salt
- 75g softened butter
- light brown sugar
- 2 large beaten eggs
- 3 medium bananas mashed
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 25g vanilla mixed nuts (if desired)
- 150g chocolate spread
- 80ml milk
Method
- Heat the oven to 180 ° C (fan 160) gas 4.
- Grease a loaf tin.
- Mix the flour, bicarb and salt together
- In a bowl beat the butter and sugar until light, add the eggs, then the bananas, vanilla flavor and the milk. Beating well.
- Add the flour mixture and stir gently.
- Heat the chocolate paste either in a bowl over a pan or in the microwave for 10 seconds until soft, then put ¼ of the banana mixture in it and stir.
- Put spoonfuls of banana mixture into the tin and some chocolate mixture between each pile - then 'swirl' it using a spoon. Don't mix it all together.
- Place in the oven for about 60 minutes. Serve with more chocolate!
