Salmon and bulgar wheat

Ingredients

  • 1 x salmon fillet per person
  • 1 clove grated garlic
  • ½ thumb grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 25g bulgar wheat
  • 1 vegetable stock cube
  • soy sauce to taste
  • handful sesame seeds
  • avocado
  • cucumber
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • kimchi
  • siracha mayo to your taste
  • nori sheets

Method

  1. Marinade your salmon fillets in grated garlic and ginger with olive oil
  2. Pour in Bulgar wheat in a metal bowl or saucepan, cover by half an inch with vegetable stock, cover and leave for 15 minutes.
  3. Gill the salmon for 8 minutes
  4. Fluff the Bulgar wheat with a fork and add to the bowl with some soy sauce.
  5. Flake your salmon, top with sesame seeds and avocado, some cucumber and grated carrot for colour. Add some kimchi and drizzle with siracha mayo.
  6. Serve with Nori sheets.
