Born in London, Leah has been cooking since she was 10 years old, making food for her family while her mum worked lates as a nurse. By now, the vegan creates all kinds of foods, from stunning wedding cakes to the curry that her dad used to make for Leah and her 8 siblings when they were little (she's the middle child!).

Leah loves cooking with spices, experimenting with bagels and croissants, and recreating standard recipes: 'I love showing people how amazing vegan food can be!' Mother to Ruby, 20 - a singer/songwriter who also works in a local cafe - Leah keeps busy between her full-time job, baking work, running, and taking her dog Bea for walks. In 2017 she opened a cafe in Llanberis called Mafon, which she's just sold to her friend.

'My proudest achievement in life is raising such an amazing strong woman in Ruby. In terms of work, so far I'm most proud of Mafon. We created a beautiful space and a real hub for the local community. Handing the cafe over to a friend has been emotional but really exciting - and liberating! My food journey will never end, it just keeps evolving…'.

Trivia: Her dream would be to have a farmhouse one day with 'little pods that people come and stay in. I'd love a big barn and to feed everyone breakfasts and dinners. I'd have no animals on the farm though apart from pets because I'm vegan!'
