S4C has received 38 nominations at this year’s BAFTA Cymru awards. Among the programmes recognized are drama Con Passionate, cult music show Bandit, and the animated satire Cnex. Other S4C productions short-listed include costume drama Treflan, children’s cookery show Stwffio and light drama Cowbois ac Injans and documentary Y Pianydd – Llŷr Williams, which both received awards at the recent Celtic Media Festival. S4C programmes have also received three nominations in the Best Newcomer category. Stwffio presenter Anthony Evans, Cnex script writer, Barry Evans and Cowbois ac Injans director, Gareth Bryn have all received nominations.
