John Kendall has been appointed to the brand new post of Senior Communications Officer at S4C’s Caernarfon offices.

John, who lives in Felinheli, has extensive experience in the field of marketing and public relations, in Wales, the UK and internationally.

He is a former Strategic Communications Manager, Corporate Communications for Michelin Tyre plc. In that role he was responsible for managing major events and international relations as well as representing the company on various committees and working groups.

He spent periods working in New York and Sweden as an editor and writer. He began his career with North Wales Newspapers.

More recently, John worked as a Marketing Officer, Strategic Communications for the National Slate Museum, Llanberis. He joins the Channel from Gwynedd County Council’s Development Department.

In his new role John will be responsible for building on S4C’s presence in North Wales, promoting S4C in the press and other media and supporting key marketing campaigns.

Huw Rossiter, S4C’s Director of Communications, said, “John’s wide-ranging experience will contribute to the effective promotion of S4C in the digital age. We look forward to welcoming him to the Channel’s offices in Caernarfon.”
