A panel of senior S4C figures will be at Aberaeron Memorial Hall tonight (Wednesday, 19 September) from 7.00pm onwards to hear what the people of the area have to say about the Channel.
John Walter Jones, Chair of the S4C Authority, the body responsible for overseeing S4C, will be joined by S4C's Director of Commissioning, Rhian Gibson to answer questions.
The Aberaeron Viewers' Evening comes at an important time in broadcasting. Digital switchover in Wales is only two years' away and new technology is revolutionising the way people enjoy their favourite programmes.
This year, S4C celebrates its 25th birthday, and among the Autumn highlights in the Channel's line-up will be a wide range of programming from the Rugby World Cup tournament, Dudley Newbury's new cooking series, Casa Dudley, and the daring drama series, Y Pris.
John Walter Jones said: “Listening to public opinion is very important to us and meeting people face-to-face is the best way to gauge opinion and get the fullest possible picture.”
Light refreshments will be provided, and a full translation service will be available. For further information about the event, please contact the S4C Viewers' Hotline on 0870 600 4141.
