Clive Jones, non-executive member of S4C’s Board of Directors, was presented with a CBE by HM the Queen at an investiture at Buckingham Palace today (6 December).
Mr Jones, originally from Pontllanfraith, Gwent, received the award for his services to broadcasting.
He was accompanied by his wife, Ms. Vikki Heywood, Executive Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company, and his father, Mr. Ken Jones of Pontllanfraith, Gwent. Mr Jones' children also attended the ceremony.
A former pupil of Newbridge Grammar School, Clive Jones is also the non-executive chairman of GMTV. He was previously Chief Executive of ITV News and Regions and Joint Managing Director of ITV Network Ltd. He chairs the Wales IP Fund and Creative Business Wales for the Welsh Assembly Government, and Mediabox, the UK Government's youth media fund. He was made a fellow of the Royal Television Society in 1997.
Clive Jones said: "It was fantastic to be able to share the day with my family and take my father to Buckingham Palace."
