S4C’s Ffermio offers state-of-the-art trailers in competition
22 July 2008
S4C’s flagship countryside and farming series, Ffermio, has launched its 2008 viewers’ competition at the Royal Welsh Showground with three state-of-the art trailers to be won.
The three trailers, a HB506 horsebox as first prize, a TA5 livestock trailer as second prize and a P5 trailer as third prize, have been supplied by the award-winning Corwen company, Ifor Williams Trailers Ltd, and will be unveiled at the S4C Pavilion at Llanelwedd, Builth Wells.
When Ffermio returns to S4C on Monday, 29 September, the programme’s presenters will ask viewers a different question every fortnight for the following ten weeks. The first letter of each answer, when re-arranged, will spell a six-letter word. In order to compete, viewers will need to follow the series.
The winners will be chosen at random from all the correct answers and to secure the prizes one more question will have to be answered over the phone. The prizes will be presented at the Winter Fair held at the Llanelwedd showground on December 1 and 2.
Mererid Wigley, one of the presenters of Ffermio, made for S4C by Swansea-based TV company Telesgop, said, “We are delighted that the internationally renowned Welsh company Ifor Williams Trailers Ltd has been able to offer three top quality trailers again this year. We are looking forward to a huge response when the series returns in the autumn.”
Further details will be available in due course on the Ffermio website, s4c.co.uk/ffermio or Ffermio.net.
Ffermio returns on 29 September. S4C’s farming bulletin, Bwletin Ffermio is broadcast twice weekly on S4C digidol throughout the year on Tuesdays and Fridays at 13.30.
