Three lucky winners are really feeling on a roll after winning state-of-the art Ifor Williams trailers in a popular S4C competition.
The channel’s countryside and farming series Ffermio offered three trailers, supplied by the award-winning Corwen company, Ifor Williams Trailers Ltd. in a competition run during the autumn.
The winners, chosen randomly from all the correct answers, had to work out a mystery word after answering a series of questions.
The winner of the first prize was Elaine Edwards and her daughter Charlotte of Bryneglwys, Corwen, who are now chuffed owners of a HB506 horsebox.
Elaine Edwards said: "We are delighted that we've won the first prize in this year's competition. Charlotte does a lot of showjumping. We keep a few working hunters and section B's, so the horsebox will be very useful."
Glyndwr Lewis of Llandeilo'r Fan, Pontsenni near Brecon took second prize and won a TA5 livestock trailer as runner-up. Glyndwr Lewis said: "The trailer will be very handy for the farm. My son does most of the farming nowadays and I’m sure he’ll find it very useful.”
Bryn Evans of Llanrhystud near Aberystwyth won third prize, taking home a brand new P5 Trailer. Bryn Evans said: "It’s great news. I’ve a smallholding in the Llanrhystud area and I keep seven horses, so this handy little trailer will be useful for carrying all the gear and tack."
Richard Rees of Swansea-based production company Telesgop, the producers of Ffermio, added: "The response to this year's competition was fantastic, with over 3,000 entries - 1,600 competing via our website. We thank Ifor Williams Trailers Ltd. for donating the three top quality trailers once again this year and congratulate the winners heartily."
