S4C’s live T20 cricket coverage proves a hit

  S4C’s live cricket coverage of Glamorgan’s Friends Provident Twenty20 has proved an instant hit with over quarter a million viewers tuning in to the coverage so far.

Official BARB figures for the first two live T20 matches against Gloucestershire and Hampshire and the T20 preview show have returned reach figures of 251,000 in Wales and the rest of the UK.

S4C is broadcasting five live T20 Glamorgan matches from Cardiff’s Swalec Stadium for the first time in its broadcasting history.

The live Twenty20 coverage is available free-to-air on all platforms in Wales and Sky 134 and Freesat 120 in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and is available with live English subtitles.

The next live S4C matches are against Sussex on Sunday 13 June, Essex on Saturday 19 June and Somerset on Wednesday 14 July.

S4C’s strong presentation team includes top sports commentators Huw Llywelyn Davies and John Hardy, statistician Alun Wyn Bevan, top cricket umpire, Jeff Evans, Glamorgan legend Robert Croft, sports reporter Dot Davies and keen cricket fan and actor Steffan Rhodri and is presented by former World Championships athlete Angharad Mair.
