 With the countdown to Christmas well under way and the cold weather making its presence felt, presenters of S4C’s Stwnsh have got into the festive spirit to record a special Christmas song.

Geraint Hardy, Lois Cernyw, Tudur Phillips, Anni Llŷn, Owain Gwynedd and Eleri Griffiths are the six presenters who feature on the track. Composer and singer Steffan Rhys Williams was responsible for the melody and arrangement of the song, whilst presenter Anni wrote the lyrics.

The song is called ‘Mae’r Nadolig wedi dod’ (Christmas is coming) and is available to download for free from the Stwnsh website – s4c.co.uk/stwnsh – and before long, viewers can enjoy a special video on screen and the website.

Anni explains, “I’ve really enjoyed writing and recording the track – I compose and write a lot of songs in my spare time so to be able to do it with my Stwnsh co-presenters was an amazing experience. This is also our first Christmas together and we’ve had a great time recording the song and filming the video whilst also pretending to be real popstars!”
