Côr Glanaethwy and Ysgol Gerdd Ceredigion have been announced the first two finalists in this year’s Côr Cymru competition.
The names were revealed during two programmes on S4C over the weekend. On Saturday 12 March a programme featured highlights of the Youth Choirs semi-final where Côr Glanaethwy was chosen by the judges to go through to the final. The programme on Sunday 13 March featured the Children’s Choir competition where Ysgol Gerdd Ceredigion was victorious.
Five choirs will compete for the Côr Cymru 2011 title in the final which will be broadcast live on S4C on Sunday 10 April.
In another programme on Sunday 20 March at 20:30 we will find out which of the Male Voice Choirs will go through to the final. Sunday 27 March sees the Mixed Choirs competition and Saturday 2 March will feature the Female Voice Choirs.
