European nomination for S4C Welsh rugby icons promo

S4C’s 2011 Six Nations on-screen campaign, featuring seven iconic Welsh rugby outside-halves and a rising star, has been nominated for a top European award.
The trailer, showcasing the talent of Welsh rugby’s legends over the past sixty years, has been shortlisted at the European Broadcasting Union Connect Awards on 6 May. It will compete with five other trailers in the Sport category.
Cliff Morgan, Barry John, Phil Bennett, Gareth Davies, Jonathan Davies, Neil Jenkins and Stephen Jones all feature in the campaign.
The former internationals brush the dust off their Welsh kit and in turn, pull them over their heads. Finally, current Wales Under 20 star, Steve Shingler appears at the end of the promo representing the next generation of players in that position.
