Elin Fflur joins Heno team, and starts her new job on a high
10 May 2012
Singer Elin Fflur is to join the reporting team on S4C's weeknight magazine series Heno, to bring coverage of events happening all across the country.
And her first week will see her career climb to new heights as she presents from the summit of Snowdon!
"I've only ever been up Snowdon once before, and I was followed by a camera that time too!" says Elin who is looking forward to a new challenge.
"I enjoy talking and meeting new and interesting people, and hope Heno will be a chance for me to attend all types of events, not just music," says the singer, who is used to travelling to all parts of Wales to perform.
"What's nice about the series is that it features up-to-date events, and so I won't know from one week to the next where I'll be going. It depends entirely on what's happening in Wales that week, and that is what makes this job exciting."
In the programme on Friday 18 May (7.00pm, S4C) she'll make the journey to the top of Wales' highest mountain which is the chosen location for the Urdd's annual Message of Peace and Goodwill this year.
Also on her first week, she'll present an exclusive first look at the Urdd Eisteddfod's chair and crown on Thursday, 17 May.
And on her first day in the job, on Monday 14 May, she'll be at a special event to mark 30 years since the classic song Nid Llwynog Oedd yr Haul, by Myrddin ap Dafydd and Geraint Lovgreen won the Cân i Gymru (Song for Wales) competition.
Dafydd Du is also set to join the team at Prynhawn Da to present from the studio every Monday to Friday afternoon at 2.00pm with his co-presenters Mari Grug, Siân Thomas and Rhodri Owen.
