S4C has thanked Dewi Llwyd for his “huge contribution to journalism” after the BBC announced changes to the Newyddion presentation team in the new year. Dewi will leave the programme after almost 30 years as a member of the team.
S4C’s Director of Content Dafydd Rhys said:
“It’s the end of an era for Newyddion and for S4C. Dewi has been one of our channel’s most familiar faces since S4C was established almost 30 years ago.
“I’d like to thank Dewi for his huge contribution to journalism on S4C over the 30 years and wish him the very best in his new role presenting one of BBC Wales’ main news programmes on radio.
“Dewi’s authority and professionalism have been a true credit to S4C, and we’re very glad that he will remain a familiar face to our audiences as he continues to present Pawb a’i Farn.”
