S4C are proud to announce that extended highlights of the FA Trophy Final between Wrexham and Grimsby will be broadcast on the Channel on Sunday, 24 March.
It's a historic occasion for Wrexham fans who have waited 140 years to see their side play in Wembley for the first time in the club's history.
S4C has been following Wrexham's progress in their FA Trophy campaign with live coverage to their semi-final first leg against Gainsborough at the Racecourse on 16 February. And the following Saturday there was highlights of the semi-final second leg where Wrexham sealed their place in the final.
Geraint Rowlands, S4C Sport Commissioner says, "This is a historic game for Wrexham and for football in Wales. Although the rights to show live coverage of the game were not available to us, we are very glad that S4C is able to show exclusive extended highlights of this historic final.
"There is a buzz about football in Wales at the moment, with Swansea's momentous win in the Capital One Cup Final and now Wrexham are going to Wembley for the first time ever. We hope that they'll be returning with the FA Trophy firmly in their grasp."
The game highlights will be broadcast at 7.30pm on the day of the final – Sunday 24 March – and presented by the experienced Sgorio team, and Rondo Media production company.
