S4C Commercial unveils new Head of Commercial Development
21 March 2013
S4C Commercial is pleased to announce that David Bryant is to become its new Head of Commercial Development.
Formerly Chief Financial Officer of Universal Music UK, David will join S4C’s commercial arm in April, heading up the channel’s efforts to seek out new commercial opportunities.
The new role of Head of Commercial Development will be focused on identifying and appraising new investment opportunities for S4C’s commercial arm and delivering commercial projects in partnership with others. David will be tasked with developing projects which generate a commercial return for S4C and which complement S4C’s public broadcaster activities.
David joins the team at S4C Commercial following a recent consulting role at SONY Music Entertainment UK as Projects Manager. Prior to his previous role as CFO at Universal Music UK, he worked for Polydor UK as Commercial Director/Finance Director.
S4C Commercial’s new Head of Commercial Development David Bryant said:
“It’s great to be joining the team at S4C at a time when the organisation is clearly on the up. The way in which TV is being consumed is completely changing and as a result this is opening up many exciting commercial opportunities to be explored from the services S4C has to offer, both on screen and online.
“My experience in the music business has reinforced my view that change has to be embraced and seized upon – it will be an immense challenge but one I am looking forward to tackling with the S4C team.
S4C’s Corporate and Commercial Director, Elin Morris said:
“In 2013 S4C places great emphasis on exploring potential commercial opportunities which will both enhance the experience of our audiences and bring in revenues for the channel. In order to achieve those goals, we need to utilise real expertise and experience, and that’s what David brings with him.
“I very much look forward to working with David in order to make the most of the cutting edge content that S4C offers and develop new and exciting projects which can bring added value to our organisation and the people of Wales.”
