 S4C will show a special programme this evening to remember the life and influence of Margaret Thatcher – the controversial former Prime Minister who died today.

At 8.30pm tonight (Monday 8 April), there will be a full programme looking back at the life of the former premiere who split public opinion – with some people idolising her, and others showing hatred towards her.

Remembered as The Iron Lady, this special programme about her life will assess the contribution of the first woman to be Britain’s Prime Minister. The miner’s strike, the poll tax and the Falklands War were some of the most memorable events of her period at the helm.
