Gwaith/Cartref is top of the class at the 2013 Celtic Media Festival

S4C's drama series Gwaith/Cartref has won a Bronze Torc at the 2013 Celtic Media Festival held in Swansea.
Gwaith/Cartref came out on top in the Drama series Category at the awards ceremony held on Thursday afternoon, 25 April. The third series of the drama is currently being shown on S4C every Sunday night at 9.00pm.
Roger Williams, of Fiction Factory production company said, "It's an honour to accept this award on behalf of the cast, writers and crew who all work extremely hard to make the best possible series. It's fantastic to receive this praise for all the hard work."
The annual festival is being held in Swansea currently – between Wednesday and Friday, 24 to 26 April. The festival celebrates the unique languages and cultures of the Celtic nations on screen and in broadcasting, and the event's Bronze Torc awards honour the very best of film, television, radio and digital media.
Gwawr Martha Lloyd, S4C Drama Commissioner, said, "Gwaith/Cartref is a very important series for S4C and is at the heart of the Sunday night drama schedule. The drama offers a good balance of entertaining and serious storylines. It has colourful and well rounded characters written in a very relevant style and with high production standards."
