Several international experts will be among the guest speakers at this year’s Digital Innovation Week Wales in an event aiming to innovate and inspire people.
Among them are Dave Coplin, Chief Envisioning Officer Microsoft UK; Andy Littledale, Director of Media Analytics Twitter UK; Paula Le Dieu from Mozilla and Dr René Tristan Lydiksen, Managing Director of LEGO Education Europe.
Digital Innovation Week Wales is held between 7 and 11 July at the Wales Millennium Centre. The intention is to discuss and share ideas to encourage digital development in various fields: games, education, economy and creative ideas to encourage more people to engage.
It's held in partnership with several companies in the creative and digital sector: S4C, BBC Cymru Wales, BBC Academy, Cardiff Council with BAFTA Cymru, Welsh Government, Nesta, Creative Skillset Cymru, Arts Council of Wales, Film Cymru Wales, Media Academy Wales, Creative Exchange Wales Network, Games Wales Group, Big Learning Company, Wales Millennium Centre.

Monday 7 July – Digital Audience
Focus on the changing nature of audiences and the role of (big/open) data in identifying, understanding and creating new experiences.
Tuesday 8 July – Digital & Creativity
The new creative tools and techniques that digital technology opens up and the way these can be used to take advantage of new opportunities.
Wednesday 9 July – Digital Learning
National Digital Learning: Teaching professionals in Wales are encouraged to get involved and highlight cutting-edge digital learning taking place in classrooms all over Wales.
Creative Exchange Wales Network: This day-long event for industry and academics will explore how digital and creative processes can help innovation and enhance business.
Digital Classroom of the Future: How will it look in 2017 and how can you be part of that change? Guest speakers include Dr René Tristan Lydiksen, Managing Director of LEGO Education Europe.
Thursday 10 July - Digital Economy
Digital business opportunities in association with Welsh Government.
Friday 11 July – Wales Games Development Show
Demonstrations, exhibitions, presentations, workshops, masterclasses and one to one advice sessions culminating in the BAFTA Cymru Games Awards - supported by Creative Europe and Welsh Government.
