English-language subtitles will be provided for the whole Sgorio football
programme from now on, S4C has announced.
The Channel already provides English soundtrack for their live Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League match coverage on the Channel’s football flagship show Sgorio on Sundays.
But now after consulting with S4C viewers, the Football Association of Wales and Welsh football clubs, S4C will provide live English subtitles, not only for the match itself but for all Sgorio’s build-up to the live match and the post-match interviews and analysis.
The English subtitling service can be enjoyed on Sgorio on Sunday, 19 October when Nicky John, along with former Wales forward Malcolm Allen among others, present the Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League match Bala Town v Port Talbot (coverage starts at 1.15pm, kick off 1.30pm).
