S4C appoints new Content Commissioner for Entertainment

S4C has appointed Elen Rhys to the role of the channel's Content Commissioner for Entertainment.
Elen will start her work at S4C on Monday 2 February 2015.
Elen is a Producer at BBC Cymru Wales, and with a career spanning over twenty years in broadcasting, she has gained wide and comprehensive experience of creating, writing, producing and managing content for audiences in Wales, the UK network and internationally on all platforms.
She has a wealth of experience in the field of entertainment and music, and has worked on several music productions for the BBC including BBC Young Musician, Choir of the Year, Cardiff Singer of the World, BBC Proms in the Park 2014 and highlight shows from the National Eisteddfod.
Elen has also had a successful career creating programmes for children and young adults, and has produced and directed series for network as well as for S4C including recent examples: Un Tro, Plant y Byd and Enwog o Fri, Ardal Ni.
In October, S4C advertised for a Content Commissioner for Entertainment following Gaynor Davies' decision to leave the role at the end of her current contract in April 2015.
