S4C is to show live coverage of Cardiff City's FA Emirates Cup match against Shrewsbury Town in the third round of the competition.
The Third Round FA Cup clash will be played on Sunday 10 January at the Cardiff City Stadium, with kick off at 6.00pm.
The live S4C coverage will be presented by the experienced team behind the channel's long-running football series Sgorio, produced by Rondo Media.
S4C Sports Editor, Sue Butler, says; "We are very pleased to be following the progress of one of our Welsh clubs in a competition that is at the heart of the nation’s affections. Cardiff City have a fine record in the FA Cup and hopefully, this is the start of another successful campaign for them. S4C is delighted to offer fans across the UK a chance to watch the action live on TV and online in the company of our experienced team on Sgorio."
This fixture is especially mouth-watering as Shrewsbury Town have decades of tradition playing Welsh clubs in the Welsh Cup.
They have won the Welsh Cup six times during that period up to 1995 when the clubs from the English pyramid were allowed to play in the competition.
The Shrews, currently in League One, one league below Championship outfit Cardiff City, will fancy their chances of taking a scalp away from home.
But the Welsh capital side have a proud record in the FA Cup, as previous cup winners in 1927 and having reached the final in 2008, losing narrowly to Portsmouth by 1-0.
