With the S4C outdoor adventure series Ar y Dibyn returning for another series later this year, the show’s producers are looking for active contestants to take part.

The series offers the winner the opportunity to change career with a prize package worth £10,000, which includes the training and qualifications needed to work in the outdoors activity sector, an opportunity to go on an overseas expedition and outdoor equipment.

During the series, contestants will have to prove themselves in a wide range of open air activities - from sailing and canoeing to climbing, mountain biking and much more – under the watchful eye of adventure instructor Dilwyn Sanderson-Jones and the presenter, adventurer and ambassador for the Wales Government 2016 Year of Adventure, Lowri Morgan.

Producers are particularly urging more people from south Wales to enter for a place in the final ten contestants, to battle it out for the top prize.

Producer Aled Davies said, "We have received a good response so far after the last series caught the imagination of S4C viewers.

"But we are looking for more people to enter for a place in the competition, especially people from south Wales. It's a very good opportunity to compete in a range of different outdoor locations in Snowdonia, and we would provide accommodation, food and travelling costs to those who would travel up to challenge the Gogs."

Tomos Gwynedd from Caernarfon won the first series, and along with it, a job as an outdoor instructor at the Urdd outdoor centre, Glan-llyn, for a year.

Tomos said, "It was a fantastic experience to be a part of the programme and take part in a range of activities, like sailing, climbing and cycling. Climbing is my strongest sport and I've done a bit of biking, but some of these challenges are extremely challenging! Since then, I have been working in the Urdd's Glan-llyn outdoor centre for a year and it has been an unforgettable experience."

The show is produced by Cwmni Da in Caernarfon, in co-operation with S4C and Sony Pictures Television. S4C has formed a partnership with the international publishers (SPT) with the aim of developing factual entertainment formats that can be promoted and sold on the global market.
