S4C welcomes conclusions of Welsh Affairs Committee report

S4C Authority Chairman has welcomed the Welsh Affairs Committee's report which recognises the importance of S4C to Wales' economy, language and culture.
The Welsh Affairs Committee released their report, Broadcasting in Wales, on Thursday 16 June, 2016.
Huw Jones, S4C Authority Chairman said, "We welcome the Committee's comments and conclusions about S4C in their report on Broadcasting in Wales. The report recognises the importance of S4C to the Welsh language and Welsh culture and to the creative economy. It stresses the importance of S4C's independence and of ensuring sufficient funding for the channel in order for it to continue to deliver a high quality service. The report's conclusions are timely and will be an important contribution to the review of S4C when that takes place in due course."
