S4C will make someone's day every Friday night as the channel announces the winning numbers of a new society lottery for Wales.
Details of Loteri Cymru, a new all-Wales society lottery were unveiled today, Friday 31 March 2017. S4C are Loteri Cymru's exclusive broadcast partner, with the rights to announce the winning numbers first, on its TV and online channels, and to all programming around the good causes which will benefit from the proceeds of the lottery.
The winning numbers will be announced on S4C every Friday at 8.00, with the first draw on 28 April, 2017. The partnership allows S4C to engage with communities across Wales and to attract new audiences to the channel.
The weekly Loteri Cymru draw has a guaranteed jackpot of £25,000 - the maximum the lottery can offer under society lottery rules - with proceeds raising money for grassroots community causes throughout Wales. Local charities all over Wales will be invited to apply for support for community projects with educational, social and cultural benefits.

SDML, a commercial subsidiary of S4C, has a broadcast and format rights deal with Loteri Cymru that combines format development funding and rights fees to secure exclusive rights for S4C to broadcast the lottery results, and to explore programming opportunities surrounding the local good causes in Wales.
