S4C has appointed Non Griffith as the channel's Assistant Commissioner.

As part of her new position Non, who is originally from Chwilog but now lives in Criccieth, will work closely with the Director of Content as well as working on co-productions and developing partnerships internationally.

Non has many years of experience working in television. She has been a freelance producer working on programmes such as Fferm Ffactor, Ar y Dibyn and Deuawdau Rhys Meirion for S4C and Family Farm for BBC Wales.

Non said:

"I am very excited about starting my new job at such an interesting time in the television industry. It is certainly a time of change and I'm looking forward to developing high quality content for a wide range of platforms. It will be an honour to work for S4C."

S4C Director of Content Amanda Rees said:

"We are very much looking forward to welcoming Non to the team. Her experience in the broadcasting industry and her contacts in the world of television internationally will be of huge benefit to the channel. I am looking forward to working with her.

Non will begin her new job in the new year.
