Gwenllian Gravelle is S4C’s new Drama Commissioner
S4C is pleased to announce that Gwenllian Gravelle has been appointed as the channel's new Drama Commissioner.
Gwenllian is currently on secondment with Vox Pictures from BBC Wales's Drama Department. She is the producer of Un Bore Mercher / Keeping Faith – S4C and the BBC's hugely successful drama series.
In a career of over a quarter of a century, Gwenllian has produced a variety of dramas including Pobol y Cwm, Casualty, BBC 2 film series and a number of live events including Cardiff Singer of the World.
Originally from Cardiff, she studied Communications at Bangor Normal College and she secured a job with the BBC's drama department very shortly afterwards.
S4C's Content Commissioner Amanda Rees has welcomed Gwenllian's appointment: "It is great to be able to welcome Gwenllian to join our commissioning team after a successful career with BBC Cymru's drama department. She will bring with her a wealth of experience of producing a variety of dramas. She has a strong understanding of the sector and it is great that she has played such a key part in some of the channel's most successful dramas. I very much look forward to welcoming her."
