S4C will be sharing its most recent successes with industry professionals as the channel launches its new S4C Originals strand at this week's MIPCOM television conference, in France.

Some major successes have originated at S4C across all genres, such as BAFTA Cymru award winning dramas Keeping Faith/Un Bore Mercher (Vox Pixtures) and Bang (Joio and Artists Studio), BAFTA Cymru award winning entertainment series, Priodas Pum Mil (Boom Cymru), and children's series Prosiect Z (Boom Cymru), won best entertainment show at the 2018 BAFTA Children's Awards.

Other series have drawn widespread acclaim from viewers, such as Bwyd Epic Chris (Cwmni Da), Pili Pala (Triongl) and Gwesty Aduniad (Darlun).

The channel has launched S4C Originals strand, with the aim of introducing this content to new international audiences and extend the global reach of the Welsh language.

Amanda Rees, S4C Creative Content Director, said: "Wales is a relatively small country geographically but we are producers of world-class, award-winning content, and the industry internationally can look towards Wales for creative original content across all genres.

"By launching S4C Originals, we are inviting broadcasters, distributors and platforms to take a look and be inspired by a small nation with big ideas."
