Everyone is adapting their ways of working during these challenging times, with thousands upon thousands turning to work from home. The same is true for television production companies, but at a time when journalism is more important than ever, current affairs series Y Byd Ar Bedwar will not let this be a barrier.
The series returned to our screen on 1 April and will continue for the next six weeks on S4C every Wednesday at 8.00.
"We have to adapt our way of working, but we have a duty to share cutting edge journalism and news by showing exactly what is going on during this time. We need to be at the top of our game as we change to this new 'normal'," said Siôn Jenkins, who joins the presenting team of Y Byd ar Bedwar this series.
"For the first time since the 1990s, we will be presenting the programme from the ITV Wales studios in Cardiff Bay, with me or Dot Davies anchoring. Under the circumstances, we decided it would be safer for us to produce the programme this way."
Siôn presented three series of Ein Byd before joining the Y Byd ar Bedwar team.
"After nearly three years with Ein Byd, I'm moving up to work with its big sister. It's going to be challenging for many reasons, but I feel a professional responsibility during this time. The coronavirus might be the biggest story I'll ever work on as a journalist - you want to make the most of that opportunity.
"There are so many different things flying around, including a lot of inaccurate information too. We need to make sure that the right, clear information about the situation goes out to the people. Journalism is needed now more than ever."
During the series, the Y Byd ar Bedwar crew will hope to get access to the people who work face to face with the coronavirus, as well as chatting with the most vulnerable members of our society to see how they cope with the situation.
Siôn added: "It is going to be a challenge to get that access into people's lives, especially the vulnerable people, and the front-line staff in our hospitals. We are now relying on technology more than ever, not forgetting on the people to share their stories."
