Un Bore Mercher comes back to S4C for the final time
8 October 2020
With the soaps firmly settled back into their regular slots, seeing familiar characters on screen again has given viewers great comfort.
And as the dark winter evenings approach and the days get shorter, S4C is pleased to announce that original drama is about to return too.
Those familiar with Faith Howells will be pleased to hear that the third series of Un Bore Mercher starts on S4C on Sunday 1 November.
Gwenllian Gravelle, Drama Commissioner for S4C, said; "We know it's the last series, so everyone wants to know how it will all end for Faith.
"The last two series have been known for their plot twists, so there's a lot of anticipation about the final farewell.
"Adding to the excitement are the amazing additions to the cast. Appearing alongside Faith (Eve Myles), Evan (Brad Freegard) and Steve Baldini (Mark Lewis-Jones) are acting legends Celia Imrie and Sîan Phillips who both appear as new characters.
"After having such a long break since we were able to show new drama, coming back with such a popular series and strong cast is a real boost.
"And it's nice to have positive news to share after a very difficult time for the film and television industry."
Un Bore Mercher was filmed back to back with the English version, Keeping Faith, which is set to appear on BBC Wales in early 2021.
S4C viewers will therefore be the first to see what's in store for Faith and her associates.
Un Bore Mercher / Keeping Faith was originally developed by S4C.
It is produced by Vox Pictures for S4C and BBC in association with Acorn Media, NPA and Nevision with support from Creative Wales.
Series one and two will be available as Box Sets on S4C Clic from 16 October, meaning viewers can catch up before the new series starts on 1 November.
