S4C is pleased to announce that the Welsh Government are sponsoring a series of live gigs under the name Stafell Fyw (Living Room).
The Stafell Fyw tour started in December, and will finish at the start of next year, with some of the biggest names in Welsh music taking part.

On the second of December, Calan and Gwilym Bowen Rhys performed in Yr Egin, Carmarthen. On the 16th of December over at Clwb Ifor Bach, Cardiff, Adwaith and Pys Melyn will play. And finally, on the 6th of January at Galeri, Caernarfon, a set by Gwilym and Alffa.
Dafydd Elis-Thomas MS and Deputy Minister for Culture, Sport and Tourism said:
"Over the last few months we have all had to make changes to our lifestyle, which has meant limited opportunities to enjoy live entertainment.
"This partnership with S4C will not only provide a welcome boost to the industry, but will also improve people's access to live Welsh language entertainment.
"Enjoying live music can provide a positive impact on our mental health and wellbeing, and it's important we do what we can to support it and ensure its survival.
"The Stafell Fyw tour shows how we can enjoy live music, from great Welsh talent, while continuing to work together to keep Wales safe."
Amanda Rees, S4C Director of Content said:
"2020 has been a very difficult year for many, including those involved in concerts and live gigs.
"So being able to commission 3 live gigs at various locations across Wales is certainly very exciting. It's great to support and showcase everyone involved in this tour, as well as giving everyone at home a taste of live gigs.
"We are extremely grateful to the Welsh Government for sponsoring this tour."
To experience the Stafell Fyw fully, all three performances will happen live on the Lŵp platform on YouTube and Facebook. These gigs won't be available on demand, but it will be possible to buy and download some songs from the Stafell Fyw website (stafellfyw.cymru) after the events.
