December was the highest ever month in terms of viewing sessions for the main S4C Facebook page.

The page attracted 994.7k viewing sessions during the month, with the charity song Dwylo Dros y Môr topping the list as the most-viewed video clip.

Also proving popular during the month were clips from Dathlu Dewrder, Jonathan, Dolig Ni: Maesincla, Dolig Epic Chris and Cefn Gwlad: Dathlu Dai.

As well as the success of December, 2020 proved to be a good year for S4C, with an increase of 79 per cent in viewing sessions from 2019. The S4C Facebook page attracted 7.2 million viewing sessions during 2020.

There have also been increases for the channel's Twitter pages and the S4C Youtube page, while Cyw continues to be S4C's most popular Youtube page.

"This success has come as a result of our strategy to develop S4C's digital elements," said Owen Evans, S4C Chief Executive.

"I am so pleased that our Christmas content resonated with viewers and attracted significant interest on Facebook.

"Developing the digital side of S4C has been a priority for some time and we now have a team which is dedicated solely to creating content for our social media and digital platforms.

"It's fantastic to see the fruits of our labour and I am looking forward to seeing the continuing development of S4C's digital presence."
