Dim Ysgol: Maesincla scooped tonight's award for Best Lockdown Programme at the Broadcast awards.

The ceremony took place tonight online and Darlun TV's production for S4C won the award against productions for ITV, BBC1, BBC2 and Channel 4.

Dim Ysgol: Maesincla won the award in the Best Lockdown Programme: News, Documentary and Factual category.

The programme was filmed during the lock down, and was an opportunity to catch up with the stories of children, their families and the staff of the special Maesincla community during a time of great change in the school's history.

Elen Rhys, S4C's Commissioner for Entertainment, said:

"Many thanks to Manon Gwynedd and the whole school and community of Maesincla for trusting us to reflect the voices of the children and their families in difficult times.

"This is an honest and warm programme showing community at its best with Maesincla characters starring throughout the documentary.

The Broadcast awards celebrate the best broadcasting output in the UK.
