​14 nominations for S4C in the Celtic Media Festival 2021

S4C has received 14 nominations in the Celtic Media Festival 2021 Torc Awards.

The festival, which promotes Celtic cultures and languages through television, film, radio and digital media, will be held virtually between 7-9 September 2021.

As part of the awards, the popular series Iaith ar Daith (Boom Cymru) has been nominated in the Factual Entertainment category.

Fflur Dafydd's powerful drama, 35 Diwrnod (Boom Cymru) has been nominated in the Drama category and the innovative series Cyswllt (Vox Pictures) made it to the shortlist of the Short Drama category.

A number of documentary programmes have also been nominated including one from the DRYCH series – Eirlys, Dementia a Tim (Cwmni Da) nominated in the Single Documentary category and also the main category prize Spirit of the Festival.

Another programme in the DRYCH series Y Côr (Cwmni Da) has been nominated in the Music category and the documentary on the terrible Britannia bridge fire – Tân ar y Bont (Rondo) in the History category.

The adventure documentary 47 Copa (Cwmni Da) has been nominated in the Sports documentary category.

Côr Digidol Rhys Meirion (Cwmni Da) has been nominated in the Entertainment category and the unique series Rybish (Cwmni Da) nominated in the Comedy category.

The special programme Sioe yr Eisteddfod Goll (Orchard) succeeded in winning a nomination in the Live Music category and Dilynwyr (ITV Cymru) nominated in the Short Form category.

Also receiving a nomination in the News and Current Affairs category is the special Pawb a'i Farn (Tinopolis) programme on diversity and the Black Lives Matter campaign

S4C's children programme also wins praise with the magical Nadolig Deian a Loli (Cwmni Da) Christmas special.
