S4C and Radio Ysbyty Gwynedd on the same wavelength
30 November 2021
Radio Ysbyty Gwynedd listeners will hear much more about S4C's programmes following a new partnership between the two broadcasters.
From December, the voluntary station, which celebrates 45 years of broadcasting this year, will offer listeners a sneak preview to the channel's upcoming shows by holding weekly conversations with S4C's Entertainment Commissioner, Elen Rhys.
Some of the stars from S4C shows will also join presenters Terry Phipps and Kevin Williams for a chat from time to time, to offer listeners an exclusive glimpse behind the scenes.
The conversations will be repeated on the station during the week to ensure that hospital patients and listeners at home do not miss out on these fun, informative conversations.
Elen Rhys, S4C Entertainment Commissioner, said: "It's a real pleasure to be on the Radio Ysbyty Gwynedd airwaves to share the exciting S4C programmes and developments with listeners.
"With Christmas on the way, there is a whole sackful of fantastic programmes on the way so we will have plenty of things to talk about.
"I'm sure we'll have plenty of fun on air and I hope we can bring a smile to the faces of some of the patients at the hospital."
Kevin Williams, Radio Ysbyty Gwynedd Chairman, said: "As a station, we are absolutely delighted to be working with S4C and highlighting the wonderful programmes that they offer on our radio shows.
"Radio Ysbyty Gwynedd has developed its service yet again this year with more new radio shows and our new app.
"We are honoured to be working in partnership with S4C, it's a fantastic Christmas present for us all at Radio Ysbyty Gwynedd."
