S4C has announced they will match, pound for pound, the money raised through ticket sales for the Wales and Ukraine Concert which is being held in Aberystwyth and broadcast on the channel on 2 April 2022.
S4C will also contribute all advertising income from that day to the DEC appeal fund for people fleeing the war in Ukraine.
The concert, to be held at Aberystwyth Arts Centre, is compered by Elin Fflur and includes contributions from Yuriy Yurchuk the baritone from Ukraine who sang the country's national anthem outside 10 Downing Street, Gwyn Hughes Jones, the tenor from Anglesey and Côr Glanaethwy from Bangor.
S4C's Chief Executive, Siân Doyle, said: "I am delighted S4C is able to make this contribution towards helping the people fleeing the disaster that is developing in Ukraine.
"Watching the news reports on S4C makes someone feel helpless, but through this practical way we hope that S4C and everyone in Wales can make a contribution to help."
People can contribute, from home, via the DEC telephone line.
Tickets can be purchased via the Arts Centre website and the concert will be on S4C and S4C Clic at 8:30pm on Saturday 2 April 2022.
Appearing at the concert will be: Yuriy Yurchuk – a baritone from Ukraine currently appearing in Covent Garden (Yuriy Yurchuk singing outside Downing Street ), Orlyk (Ukrainian Dance group), Anglesey tenor Gwyn Hughes Jones, Tenor Dafydd Wyn Jones from the Vale of Clwyd, Contemporary Music Collective Côr y Cwm, Côr Glanaethwy and Plascrug Primary School Choir, Aberystwyth.
