S4C will be broadcasting all the excitement of the National Eisteddfod from Tregaron throughout the week on S4C and the on-demand players.
With S4C about to celebrate its 40th birthday, and as the home of Wales's events S4C will be bringing all the hustle and bustle of Europe's biggest cultural festival to S4C viewers on a variety of different platforms.
Between Saturday, 30 July and Saturday, 6 August, S4C will be broadcasting live from the Eisteddfod every morning and throughout the day with full coverage of the main ceremonies daily. Every night, Mwy o'r Maes will bring a taste of the Eisteddfod at night and a look at the day's highlights.
The presentation team includes Eleri Siôn, Tudur Owen, Heledd Cynwal, Mirain Iwerydd, Nia Roberts, Dot Davies and Dylan Ebenezer.
S4C will be offering Sedd yn y Pafiliwn (a seat in the Pavilion) for those who can't attend the Eisteddfod in Tregaron. There will be live and un-interrupted coverage from the stage available on S4C Clic and in the Wales category on BBC iPlayer, and English subtitles will be available.
S4C's Chief Content Officer Llinos Griffin Williams said: "We are proud to be able to bring all the fun of the Ceredigion Eisteddfod to viewers across a wide range of platforms. Our comprehensive coverage will follow all the excitement of the Eisteddfod – from the ceremonies to the hustle and bustle of the maes. There's lots going on at the S4C Pavilion including Cyw and Stwnsh, special events and a preview of S4C's new autumn drama 'Dal y Mellt'."
National Eisteddfod Chief Executive Betsan Moses added: "If you can't join us on the maes in Tregaron, sit back, relax and enjoy the special coverage on S4C throughout the week. From the competing to wandering the maes, you won't miss a thing by watching on television next week."
