The animated series, Cyw a'i Ffrindiau, stars the lovable little characters at the heart of the Cyw service; Bolgi, Llew, Jangl, Plwmp, Deryn and Cyw. And now a new friend has joined the crew - a three-legged dog called Triog.
Cyw's colourful world is the focus of the series which is a Boom Plant and Cloth Cat production, and every episode sees Cyw and her friends doing all sorts of things - from organising a birthday party to going on an adventure under the sea or creating something very special to fly in the wind.
Sioned Wyn Roberts, S4C's Children's Content Commissioner, said, "Children have been fascinated by Cyw and her friends since 2008, so it's wonderful to see them and their world in a dedicated series where there will be an opportunity to get to know them better.
"With adorable characters, beautiful images and entertaining stories, the series will definitely be a new favourite among young viewers."
Several events have been organised to celebrate a decade of Cyw this year, including a special birthday party at the Urdd Eisteddfod in Builth Wells on Monday, 28 May. In addition, Cyw and friends and the BBC National Orchestra of
Wales will perform colourful orchestral arrangements of popular children's songs and nursery rhymes at the BBC Hoddinott Hall, Wales Millennium Centre as part of the National Eisteddfod of Wales in August.
